Today I wanted to share my thoughts on the book subscription service, Book of the Month. I joined in spring of last year and have really enjoyed this company and the services it provides for its subscribers. BOTM is a great way to discover new books and to try new things. They do a fantastic job of providing a diverse array of authors and stories, as well as offering exclusive or early releases. I always look forward to the first of every month so I can choose my next great read!
Now, there is a fee associated with this subscription service. You pay up front and then can choose a new hardcover book each month. The more months you pay for up front, the cheaper it is in the long run. I opted for the yearly subscription from the start and I would recommend that if you’re able to afford that upfront cost. One choice I really respect is that if a month comes along and you’re not loving any of their five selections, you can opt to skip that month! BOTM will add any month you skip on to your subscription at the end, so you will always feel that you are getting your money’s worth.
Thanks to BOTM, I’ve read and now own some fantastic new books. These include The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid (read my review post here), The Power by Naomi Alderman, and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng and they are just a few of my favorites!
