This weekend I’m participating in a readathon: the #24in48 Readathon! I’ve linked to their official website, but essentially, you read for 24 hours over the course of a 48 hour time period. This particular challenge takes place on Saturday, January 27 and ends Sunday, January 28. But I work most of Saturday, so I’m adjusting my personal challenge to be Friday (that’s tomorrow!) and Sunday. I’ll post an update next week to reveal how much I actually read this weekend. It’s also worth noting here, that this Readathon is a fun goal to attempt. You are not a better reader for completing the challenge, nor are you a worse one if you decide to do something else this weekend.
And now…my TBR for this Readathon challenge!
No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean
This is the third book in the Rules of Scoundrels series. You can read my review of book one, A Rogue By Any Other Name, here and my review of book two, One Good Earl Deserves a Lover, here. I’m really enjoying it so far but haven’t had enough time to really dive into this book. I’m feeling confident I’ll finish it this weekend.
The Strays by Emily Bitto
I’m not very far in this one yet but I’m enjoying this story of two friends growing up on one of their parents’ artist colony home. This is a fairly short book so I think I’ll finish this one, too.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
It’s been years since I read this series and I thought it was time for a reread! I’m hoping to start this first book, at the very least. Ideally, I’ll be ready to start book two by the end of the weekend!
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
To be quite frank, I don’t expect to start this book before the readathon ends. But it’s always nice to have goals! I don’t remember this second book very well so I’m looking forward to continuing with this series.
Is this too many books? Probably. I’m perpetually terrible at estimating how many books I’ll read in a given time frame. But at least this way I’ll have some variation if I don’t feel like reading a particular book at any given time.
That’s it for today! Will you participate in this reading challenge this weekend? What books will you pick up this weekend?
